20th to 22nd March

The strong south-westerly wind continues to make birding hard work, but there is hope with some east in next weeks forecast. The Glossy Ibis and Tundra Bean Goose were both still present on 20th and 22nd. On the former date the 'littoralis' Rock Pipit was seen again at Gretchen and there was a small arrival of Meadow Pipits, while 2 Sparrowhawks and a Jackdaw were new on 22nd. Skylarks are still coming in and heading south when the weather allows, 83 doing so on 20th and 121 on 22nd. Roll on next week...
